My story: Jayme-Male born approximately mid-May, and is a very handsome tabby. Playful, curious and independant. Jayme is a player and loves feather wands. He loves to play with his cat friends, but especially with a laser light. Jayme can be very loving, but can be a little skittish with people he does not know. In the evening, he loves to visit with his family, lay in your lap, and generally climb all over you. He is a pistol and does not want to be held back for nail trimming or any other reason, but always stays close-by. Jayme will do well with other kitties to play with, dogs, and is an extremely well marked tabby. He will make a good companion cat, but first you would need to be patient with him. My story: Luna's owner did not want to pay the pet deposit in order to continue to have her in her apt. Luna was injured in an accident and had to have stitches on both front and back left paws. The owner never returned to Animal Coalition of Tampa to pick her up after her surgery. Luna is extremely friendly and loves as much attention as she can get. She is a lap kitty. It takes her awhile to get use to other cats, and she will hiss and growl but she is not aggressive towards other cats. Luna would do best in a house with only one to two other calm cats.

My story: My sister and I were found hungry in my foster's neighborhood. She had been watching my mommy try to take care of us but we were hungry all the time. She started to feed us and then took us in and had us spayed/neutered and vaccinated. I'm the precocious kitty. My story: Jolly Old St. Nick made his appearance on Christmas Eve. There was no chimney for him to slide down, but he yowled at the door until we let him in & gave him his cookies & milk. Nick is a very sweet boy. He is about a year old so he still has lots of kitten in him. And boy does he love a good tummy rub! Nick was dirty and beat up- so he'd been outside on his own for a little while. However- he wants everyone to know he is much much happier inside getting snuggles. Nick has been through quite an ordeal trying to survive the wilds of Polk County's old cow pastures, so he is shy. He hopes you'll give him a chance! And look how handsome he is! My story: Piper is a sweet little girl that is going to need a family who has patience and a gentle hand. She was rescued when her foster moms neighbor was walking and herd her screaming. They tried to catch her but she was too scared to let them near her. Well after her foster mom sent out her teenage boys and the police stopped to help they finally caught her and brought her home. She has only been with humans for a few weeks so she is slow to trust. She has always just been super shy but super sweet. She loves to have her back scratched and once she knows you won't hurt her she will even snuggle up on your chest for a nap. Piper is going to make someone very happy if your willing to take it slow and give her lots of love.

My story: I came across a very loving feral cat whom I named Max. We made friends fairly easily. Max is really a fabulous cat. Anyone who gets him would be very lucky. He's about 2-3 years old. He has gorgeous big eyes and has long gray/white hair. He is a very laid back guy who is very gentle and loving. He is still used to being outside and likes being independent, but he always comes back. I know that if Max is given the love and time he deserves, he would become an inside cat. I go outside and sit in a chair and spend some time with him which he loves. He does get along with my other cats very well. My story: Bruno was found in a feral colony where he had apparently been dumped. He was limping and the vet determined his leg was shattered in multiple places...ouch. Because it was an older injury, the leg could not be saved so the decision was made to amputate. Bruno is a very laid back boy. He loves petting, likes snuggling on the couch next to the humans he is familiar with. Will never pass on an opportunity to have wet food and treats. Bruno is very good with other kitties, and will do equally well being the only cat and getting all the attention or having furry siblings. Being an amputee does not slow him down!
